The servicing of the Canister Purge Valve begins by removing the V-bank cover sub-assembly followed by disconnecting the purge VSV connector and the two hoses before extracting the purge VSV through the intake manifold bolt. Installation procedure includes securing the purge VSV with the bolt before connecting the two hoses and attaching the purge VSV connector. The technician should now reinstall the V-bank cover sub-assembly and reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal. After disconnection and reconnection of the negative battery cable you need to conduct the initialization process due to system requirements.
