A technician should begin replacing the Air Inlet Control Servo Motor by first recovering refrigerant from the system and steering the vehicle with its front wheels facing forward. First detach the front left wheel then wait for 90 seconds with no power at the negative battery terminal to stop Air Bags before cable removal. Begin by taking out the blades, front wiper arms from both sides and then proceed to separate the windshield wiper motor with links and the cowl top outer panel sub-assembly and ventilator louver sub-assembly. Detach the outlet and inlet connections of the heater water hose along with the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A and the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction pipe. Both the lower No. 3 and No. 2 steering wheel covers and steering wheel assembly need extraction along with steering pad, steering column cover, turn signal switch assembly with spiral cable sub-assembly, instrument cluster finish panel assembly, combination meter assembly, center instrument panel register assembly and center instrument cluster finish panel assembly (for both with and without Smart Key System). The service technician should detach the heater control and accessory assembly (for both manual and automatic air conditioning systems) in addition to the radio receiver assembly with bracket (for without navigation system) and navigation receiver assembly with bracket (for with navigation system) and front door scuff plates along with cowl side trim sub-assemblies and lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assemblies and lower instrument panel sub-assembly. The technicians will detach the upper console panel sub-assembly, console box duct (for without rear air conditioning system), lower rear console box, console box assembly (for both with and without rear air conditioning system), front console box inserts, engine switch (for with Smart Key System), front door opening trim Weather Strips, front pillar garnishes, instrument panel speaker panel sub-assemblies, and front speaker assemblies (for both left and right sides). The instrument panel wire assembly needs to be disconnected for removing the instrument panel safety pad assemblies (for both pole and glass antenna types) and the brake pedal return spring and stop light switch assembly and brake master cylinder push rod clevis. Also separate the brake pedal support sub-assembly. The technician should first detach the driver side knee Air Bag assembly and the No. 1 air duct sub-assembly and after that separate the steering intermediate shaft sub-assembly and finally remove the steering column assembly.
