The first task to service or repair the Brake Master Cylinder involves unconnecting the level warning switch connector and extracting fluid through a syringe while avoiding contact between brake fluid and painted surfaces. Service of the M/T models begins by disconnecting the clutch hose from the reservoir before using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to detach the 2 or 3
Brake Lines from the master cylinder using a torque of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.). Begin by unfastening the master cylinder through the process of removing the 2 mounting nuts followed by pulling out the master cylinder together with the gasket while using a torque of 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.). First uninstall the strainer and cap from the reservoir, remove both grommets and the reservoir and eventually extract the stopper from the reservoir. When installing the system, follow the reverse order of removal then adjust the brake booster push rod length followed by brake fluid addition to the reservoir then perform brake system bleeding and verify for leaks and finally inspect the brake pedal.
