A proper side Air Bag assembly removal begins with removing the front seat that requires disassembly of 2 seat track covers and 4 bolts while disconnecting the side Air Bag connector while protecting the Air Bag wire harness from damage. Begin by removing the headrest followed by the reclining adjuster release handle and by taking off the front seat cushion shield and the inner front seat cushion shield. The seatback assembly requires removal of a side Air Bag wire harness from its wire harness protector followed by the removal of three hog rings and two more rings before unfastening the four securing seatback bolts. The installation process requires assembly of the seatback frame using 4 bolts which should be tightened to 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf). Begin tightening from the right-front bolt before moving to the others. Securely attach the side Air Bag wire harness to the seat cushion by using new hog rings while maintaining small wrinkles and installing the wire harness protector. Reinstall the front seat cushion shield, inner front seat cushion shield and reclining adjuster release handle together with the headrest. To mount the front seat properly position it to the most front setting while activating the seat adjuster lock and perform the mounting task without grasping the seat track handle to stop accidental slip. First connect the side Air Bag connector then temporarily install back bolts starting from inside with 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) torque then push the seat toward its most rear position for tightening the front bolts to 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf).
