The first step for servicing or repairing Antilock Brake Hydraulic Control Assembly starts with removing the battery together with its clamp and tray. First disconnect the master cylinder followed by the ECM and ECM bracket through the sequence of engine room duct removal and the bolt removal from the ECM bracket allowing its movement to detach the clamp from both harnesses with the bracket securing bolt and nuts before applying torque of 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.). Users can disconnect the ABS actuator connector by pulling the release bar while also breaking away the 6
Brake Lines using Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 at a torque force of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.). The brake line connection should be marked with tags while creating a memo for easier reinstallation reference. The installation process begins with bolt and nut removal from the ABS actuator assembly along with the actuator bracket while applying 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) torque then uninstalling the 2 nuts from the actuator bracket with 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.) torque. The procedure for installation involves doing the opposite of removal and then add brake fluid to the reservoir before bleeding the system and inspecting for moisture.
