Scion xD Yaw Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to install a Yaw Sensor on Scion xD?
A: Begin sensor installation by fastening it with two bolts which require 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque and then connect the sensor connector. Follow this step by attaching the yaw rate and acceleration sensor protector with 2 nuts where the torque should be set at 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Position the rear console box cover in place while the cable needs to be attached to the negative battery terminal which requires a torque setting of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). The last step involves performingNonnull with accelerometer sensor zero point calibration which also includes VSC sensor signal inspection.
