How to service the exhaust pipe on Scion xB?

In order to service the exhaust pipe, remove the negative battery terminal and allow 90 seconds to pass. Take out shift lever knob, rear console box and front floor panel brace. Take off the tailpipe and front exhaust pipe and change gaskets and sensors as necessary. Install parts, making sure they are properly torqued and leak-free.

How to install the exhaust pipe on Scion xB?

In order to fit the exhaust pipe, measure the length of compression spring (not less than 41.5 mm) and change in case of necessity. Fit a new gasket, fit front and center exhaust pipes using 43 Nm bolts and the floor brace using 51 Nm bolts. Lastly, install the tail pipe assembly and heat oxygen sensor and confirm there are no leaks.
