To disassemble the Vacuum Brake Booster empty the brake fluid and clean up any spills. Take off the wiper arm cover, wiper assembly, hood seal, cowl ventilator and front wiper motor. Next, remove the outer cowl panel, air cleaner and brake parts then lastly take off the brake booster assembly and the vacuum check valve.

How to install the brake booster assembly on Scion xB?

Install brake booster with new gasket; torque four nuts to 13 Nm. Grease clevis pin, attach clevis and clip, install spring, connect vacuum hose. Adjust push rod; install actuator and master cylinder. Connect clutch tube (MT). Refit air cleaner, battery. Fill, bleed, adjust pedal, check fluid/leaks, reconnect cable, test actuator.
