2010 Toyota Yaris Fuel Injector Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the fuel injector on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: A proper procedure to remove the 1NZ-FE engine fuel injector starts with fuel system pressure discharge followed by negative cable terminal disconnection. The fuel injector servicing requires the technician to begin by taking off the cylinder head cover No. 2 along with ignition coil No. 1 before disconnecting both the ventilation hose and ventilation hose No. 2. Proceed by detaching the fuel injector connectors as well as disconnecting the connector and 3 wire harness clamps and engine wire harness before removing the bolt and wire harness bracket and all 9 bolts and 2 nuts and 2 seal washers. The fuel tube sub-assembly needs disconnection through turning the fuel pipe clamp, pinching the connector retainer and gently pulling it from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly while making sure no foreign or dirty matter gets onto the connector and preventing any scratches on the parts. The disconnected parts should receive vinyl covering along with gentle push-and-pull movements to release both connector and pipe when they become stuck. The assembly requires detachment of its fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly through bolt removal from 3 spots while keeping the fuel injectors from dropping out. Start by taking out the 2 delivery pipe No. 1 spacers along with 4 injector vibration insulators before drawing the 4 fuel injector assemblies from the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
