2010 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and replace the fuel pressure regulator on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: Start by getting the Torx socket wrench E10 to remove the rear seat cushion pad of the hatchback or sedan then continue by taking out the package tray panel and deck board sub-assembly from the hatchback. Start by taking out the deck floor box and resulting in removal of both rear seat leg covers and rear seat assembly for hatchback users. Next, the rear floor service hole cover is to be taken off followed by disconnecting the fuel pump connector. You need to drain fuel system pressure then detach the cable from the negative terminal on the battery. The disconnect process for the fuel tank main tube sub-assembly requires widening the tip of the tube joint clip while pulling it out before checking that the O-ring stays clean and free from contamination yet avoiding any tool assistance or forceful flexing. Using Special Service Tools namely: 09808-01410 and 09808-01420 alongside 09808-01430 and 09808-01420 detach the fuel pump gauge retainer through the eyes of the tool fitted against the claws of the retainer. You should remove the fuel suction assembly with pump and gauge tube while avoiding any bending of the sender gauge arm and then slide off the fuel suction tube gasket from the fuel tank.
