2010 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Properly Install an A/C Condenser in a Vehicle on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: Two claws should be engaged before placing the condenser properly into the vehicle while taking care to avoid harming the condenser and radiator. Installations of new condensers require the addition of 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz.) ND-OIL8 compressor oil or equivalent into the device. As the next step you should first remove vinyl tape from both the liquid tube sub-assembly A and cooler condenser connection. Afterward you must apply enough ND-OIL8 compressor oil to a new O-ring and pipe joining surfaces before securing the O-ring onto the liquid tube and bolting it to the cooler condenser at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Under the existing torque specifications, reenact the procedure of tape removal by adding compressor oil to a fresh O-ring before installing it onto the discharge hose which subsequently gets secured with a bolt at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Continue with installation of the radiator support sub-assembly upper and hood lock assembly (both include theft deterrent system or not) followed by the No. 1 cooler cover and front bumper cover and front spoiler cover (if needed). Conduct the hood lock assembly adjustment and connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) torque before charging the refrigerant and warming up the engine and leaking check.
