  • Q: How to remove the windshield glass on 2010 Toyota Camry?
    A: You need to disconnect the negative battery cable before taking out the windshield glass. Subsequently detach the front wiper components on both sides before extracting the front fender to cowl seals on each side. You must first uninstall the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly along with both inner rear view mirror assemblies (without EC mirrors and their holders). Untuck the Weather Strips from both sides of the front door opening then pry off the front pillar garnishes, rooftop console, and visor accessories. Rewind the front section of the roof headlining to put vehicles with or without a sliding roof in better position for windscreen removal. Cut off the windshield moulding gently using a knife and keep the vehicle body safe before taking out the windshield glass assembly with suction cups. Insert a piano wire to eliminate the adhesive bond. Place protective tape at the glass placement points to prepare for installation on the vehicle body and make reference marks when reusing the windshield glass. Taking out damaged parts such as window glass adhesive dam and No. 2 windshield stoppers will create space for the new windshield glass retainers installation. When removing the 2-piece windshield type you need to disconnect both No. 1 glass stoppers too. Use a scraper to remove window glass adhesive dam, No. 2 stoppers, and retainers then replace them with fresh parts. Also clean the vehicle body area with a scraper and a non-residue solvent to create a smooth flat surface.
