Starting the water pump replacement process of the 2AZ-FXE engine begins by removing the front wheel opening extension pads from both right and left positions before continuing with the engine under covers on each side. The detachment of the water pump pulley requires Special Service Tools: 09960-10010 09962-01000 to remove its 4 retaining bolts. The water pump assembly procedure requires workers to detach the crankshaft position sensor clamp from both the pump and sensor while also severing the connecting wire from the clamp bracket.
