How to remove the water pump on 2009 Toyota Camry?

Starting the water pump removal process from the 2AZ-FE engine requires you to disconnect the negative battery terminal cable. Begin by taking off extension pads from the right and left front wheel opening and proceed to remove both engine under covers. Empty the engine coolant from the system followed by taking out the front fender apron seal from the right-hand side. Within the water pump removal sequence you should start by taking off the No. 2 engine mounting stay and the engine moving control rod sub-assembly on the right side before moving on to remove the No. 2 engine mounting bracket. You must remove the V-ribbed belt together with the generator components. Special Service Tools 09960-10010 09962-01000 must be used when removing the water pump pulley bolts which number four in total. Start the water pump assembly detachment by removing two bolts at the crankshaft sensor clamp that holds the water pump and disconnecting the wire on the clamp bracket. Apply the necessary tools to remove four bolts along with two nuts then the clamp bracket. A screwdriver combined with a protective screwdriver tip tape allows for easy separation between the water pump and cylinder block to remove the water pump assembly.
