Begin front door speaker removal by taking out the front door armrest base upper panel after which the front door lower frame bracket garnish should be removed. You must disengage the 3 claws before taking out the front No. 2 speaker assembly. The technician will remove both the front door inside handle bezel and the front door trim board sub-assembly next. Start by disconnecting the speaker connector before drilling out the three rivet heads on the front No. 1 speaker assembly using a drill with a 4 mm (0.16 in.) bit that should run along the rivet heads' circumference to cut the flange. Be cautious because the cut rivet will be extremely hot while drilling. The heating rivet needs careful handling while drilling directly around the rim to prevent damaging both the drill and the hole opening. Drill perpendicular to the rivet head. Drilling starts with removing the flange followed by drilling the area to push out fragments then finishing by vacuuming the fragments and shavings from inside the door.
