2010 Scion xB Steering Angle Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to install the steering angle sensor and ensure proper functionality of the SRS warning light on 2010 Scion xB?
A: The installation requires users to lock the 6 claws followed by pin insertion into the holes that will fasten the sensor onto the spiral cable. The second step involves putting in the spiral cable followed by installation of the steering column cover. Set the spiraled cable to desired length after which install the steering wheel assembly together with the steering pad. The front wheel should be aligned straight forward before connecting the cable to the negative terminal of the battery while applying a torque at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). The SRS warning light needs an inspection to check whether it operates correctly.
