2010 Scion tC Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Switch in the control assembly on 2010 Scion tC?
A: Start by removing the battery cable and letting it sit for at least 90 seconds to deactivate both Air Bags and seat belt pretensioners before performing removal and replacement of the control assembly. The removal process starts with taking out the manual transaxle shift lever knob sub-assembly followed by removing the console panel upper front. After separating the nine claws from the instrument cluster finish panel assembly you can remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly by keeping the heater control cover closed to prevent damage. Close the final step by disconnecting the connector then taking off the heater control.
