The first step of evaporative emission control canister removal for the 1NZ-FE emission control system requires disconnecting the negative battery cable. Disconnection of the canister begins with removing its connector followed by disconnecting both the purge line hose and the air inlet line hose from the leak detection pump and the vent line hose from the canister. The 3 bolts should be removed to separate the canister assembly.
