The next step involves the removal of the left-hand side engine under cover. You need to disassemble the transmission control cable assembly by first taking off the nut before unconnecting the control cable from the control shaft lever. Then remove the clip to separate the control cable from the control cable bracket. To proceed, disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector then remove the nut followed by the washer and control shaft lever. The lock plate requires prying to remove and the manual valve shaft nut requires removal too. First, unwrap the manual valve shaft nut and then remove the two bolts to pull out the park/neutral position switch assembly.
