2009 Toyota Venza Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the vacuum brake booster on 2009 Toyota Venza?
A: Braking your vehicle and depressing the brake pedal multiple times will release vacuum pressure before you disconnect the brake booster from its companion brake master cylinder. The first task starts with front wiper arm head cap removal then proceeds with front wiper arm and blade separation on both left and right sides. Both sides require the removal of front fender to cowl side seals before taking off the windshield wiper motor and link assembly together with the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly. Next in the process you will remove the outer cowl top panel. During 1AR-FE engine work remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly while the 2GR-FE engine needs the same step. Separate the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly and proceed to remove the air cleaner case from both variants of the engines. The security horn needs to be removed if the installation includes this equipment. To begin repair the brake master cylinder sub-assembly then disconnect the No. 1 vacuum hose connector for the 1AR-FE by sliding its clip followed by disconnecting the hose from the brake booster assembly followed by removing two nuts. The vacuum hose requires removal on the 2GR-FE through clip sliding. The brake booster assembly can be removed on both engine types after removing four restraining nuts that do not harm brake lines. The brake booster gasket must come off first while the lock nut needs loosening before obtaining the brake master cylinder push rod clevis along with its lock nut. Complete your work by removing both components of the brake vacuum check valve assembly which are present inside the brake booster assembly.
