2009 Toyota Venza Brake Master Cylinder Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to install the brake master cylinder sub-assembly on 2009 Toyota Venza?
A: The first step for brake master cylinder sub-assembly installation entails removing protectors from the piston and outlet ports when using a new unit. The brake master cylinder sub-assembly requires installation of a new O-ring and application of lithium soap base glycol grease across its complete circumference and inside the brake booster assembly inner surface. The brake master cylinder sub-assembly installation requires to use 2 nuts torqued to 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf) which must be installed carefully to prevent damage to the front brake tube way and its brake line when you avoid kinking and twisting and keep foreign matter from entering. The 2 brake lines must be assembled to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly using 20 Nm (199 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) torque applied with a union nut wrench. Subsequently connect the 2 brake lines to their respective front brake tube way through the employment of a union nut wrench, torquing them at 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf). These installations must be performed while observing caution for the brake line. First connect and clamp the fitting before filling the reservoir with brake fluid and conducting master cylinder bleeding followed by line bleeding with inspections for leaks as well as reservoir fluid level checks. Both 1AR-FE and 2GR-FE engines require the final installation of air cleaner filter element sub-assembly and air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
