2009 Toyota Venza Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to effectively remove the Yaw Sensor on 2009 Toyota Venza?
A: Professionals should start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal before waiting 90 seconds to disable the SRS system. The process requires SRS system initialization during reconnection but some systems do not need this step. The technician should first extract the Front Seat Assembly LH either through manual or power seat types before performing the same procedure on the Front Seat Assembly RH. Start by removing the Upper Console Panel Sub-Assembly before taking out the Console Box Assembly together with the No. 2 Console Box Carpet. The next step includes taking off the Air Conditioning Control Assembly and both the Front Door Scuff Plates LH and RH elements and Cowl Side Trim Sub-Assemblies LH and RH and the two sub-assemblies of No. 2 Instrument Panel Under Cover along with the Lower Instrument Panel Sub-Assembly. The work sequence requires removal of the Sub-Assembly Shift Lever Knob and Position Indicator Housing Assembly before dealing with the Console Box Sub-assembly. Next, proceed by raising the floor carpet to access and remove seven bolts that secure the No. 4 Center Member Floor Reinforce Sub-Assembly. Disconnect the connector from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor with bracket before removing its two bolts and then unfastening the two nuts to detach the yaw rate and acceleration sensor from the bracket.
