How to install the rear shock absorber assembly on the LH side on 2009 Toyota Tundra?

The installation of the LH side rear shock absorber starts by attaching the 2 retainers and No. 3 cushion to the shock absorber and then using a nut to secure the shock absorber temporarily. Finally, secure the lower side of the shock absorber with the bolt and nut. Lower the vehicle after which you need to press down repeatedly for suspension stabilization. Secure the 2 nuts on the lower side of the shock absorber to 90 Nm torque (918 kgf-cm or 66 ft-lbf) followed by bolting and tightening the upper portions to 28 Nm (286 kgf-cm or 21 ft-lbf) torque. Contrary to aluminum wheels, steel wheels require 209 Nm (2131 kgf-cm, 154 ft-lbf) to install the rear wheel. Aluminum wheels need 131 Nm (1336 kgf-cm, 97 ft-lbf) when installed. Finally, remove the safety stands.
