Start vane pump assembly installation for the power steering system by using 2 bolts to attach the vane pump and torquing them to 28 Nm (286 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf). You should place a new gasket on the pressure feed tube before installing it with the union bolt at 51 Nm (520 kgf-cm, 38 ft-lbf) torque value. Fasten the suction hose with the power steering oil pressure switch connector by using a clip. First install the fan and generator V belt and afterward add power steering fluid to the system. Bleed the power steering fluid before moving on to inspect if any leakage is present. Reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal before restoring the No.1 engine under cover while understanding that system initialization might be needed after connecting.
