The installation of the front center seat outer belt for bench seat type begins with placing the tether anchor bracket sub-assembly into the body hole through its claw before tightening bolts A and B to 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). Use the provided bolts to secure the seat belt bracket after torquing it to 20 Nm (205 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf). The rear seat shoulder belt guide retraction device requires inspection for proper locking function against 15 degrees or less angles and 45 degrees or greater angles. The retractor needs no breakdown; when the retractor function falls outside specifications the rear center seat outer belt requires replacement. The seat belt bracket's lower stay requires attachment to both hooks on its bracket. After this step tighten bolt A to 8.5 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf) while tightening bolt B to 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf). The shoulder anchor requires installation using two bolts that should be torqued to 42 Nm (430 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf). The ELR lock must engage properly while using the rear center seat outer belt. The anchor should not overlap the floor panel during this process. A fast pull-out test must secure the belt linkage; if it fails replace the outer belt for the rear center seat. Install the seat belt retractor cover by connecting the four clips before installing the back panel upper garnish and back panel trim cover through their claw systems according to the opposite side procedures.
