How to remove the ignition switch assembly on 2009 Toyota Sienna?

In order to dismantle the ignition switch assembly to the 2GR-FE starting system, the negative battery terminal should be disconnected. Take off the lower steering column cover by unscrewing steering lock and screws. Unscrew the ignition switch connector and scrape the screws holding the switch in place then a detach the claws to completely remove the cover.
