2009 Toyota Sequoia Valve Body Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove and replace the valve body assembly in the A750E automatic transmission/transaxle on 2009 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The first step for installing or replacing the valve body assembly in A750E automatic transmission/transaxle requires draining automatic transmission fluid. Initialize the procedure by draining automatic transmission fluid and subsequently removing automatic transmission oil pan sub-assembly followed by valve body oil strainer assembly. Bolt removal on the transmission must be followed by disconnecting the transmission wire before proceeding to take off the bolt and the detent spring cover and the detent spring of the transmission valve body assembly. Proceed to remove the 19 bolts which secure the valve body followed by a single action to extract the check ball body and spring without allowing them to fall.
