How to remove the steering wheel on 2009 Toyota Sequoia?

Steering wheel removal starts with disconnecting the negative battery cable then waiting 90 seconds before SRS system disable along with system initialization requirements afterwards. The procedure starts with removing the lower No. 3 and lower No. 2 steering wheel covers after which the steering pad should be removed. Detach the cruise control main wire harness clamp from the steering wheel side while you remove the steering pad switch connector and cruise control main switch connector from the spiral cable followed by removing the steering wheel set nut. Use Special Service Tool: 09950-50013, 09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05011 to remove the steering wheel after marking its positions along with the main shaft. To remove the steering pad switch apply the following steps: disconnect its connector and remove the 2 screws while disconnecting the 4 pins leading to the switch removal. The process requires vehicle owners to disengage the 2 pins with a screwdriver when accessing the steering pad covers on right and left sides of the vehicle. Start by taking out the main cruise control switch through disassembly of its 2 screws then detach the pad attaching screws for the wheel.
