How to install the steering wheel and its components on 2008 Toyota Sequoia?

The installation begins with screwing in the 2 steering wheel pad attaching screws. Install the cruise control main switch into position with its corresponding two screws. The steering pad cover RH without a steering pad switch needs 2 pins integrated before screwing it down followed by identical installation of the steering pad cover LH. To install the steering pad switch assembly use two screws to fix it after engaging the four pins and finally attach the connector. The spiral cable needs adjustment at this time. Attach the steering wheel assembly while matching its marks with the steering main shaft and tighten the steering wheel set nut to 50 Nm torque (510 kgf-cm or 37 ft-lbf). Start by fixing lower No. 3 and lower No. 2 steering wheel covers before applying the steering pad to the assembly. After reattaching the cable to the negative battery terminal apply 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) of torque while observing that system initialization might be needed based on certain configurations. Check the steering pad functionality while inspecting the SRS warning light status.
