2009 Toyota Prius PCV Valve Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the PCV Valve on 2009 Toyota Prius?
A: The service and repair of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve requires workers to start by taking out the rear No. 2 floor board then continuing with the rear floor deck box removal followed by the rear No. 3 floor board extraction. Break the negative battery cable connection followed by a 90-second timeframe to allow the forgetting of Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. Start by removing engine room No. 2 relay block through the process of unbolting two structures and removing both the relay block and then disconnecting four wire harness clamps. You should start by unfastening the clamp before separating the No. 1 air cleaner inlet from the air cleaner case while also disconnecting the mass air flow meter connector and taking off the wire harness clamp. Start by easing the clamps then unfasten the two bolts leading to air cleaner assembly removal. To start the procedure disconnect the fuel injector connector along with the ignition coil connector then take off both the 3 nuts and the wire harness clamp before removing the wire harness. Conclude by removing the brake master cylinder reservoir cover along with disconnecting the ventilation hose that leads to the removal of the ventilation valve.
