How to remove the water pump on 2009 Toyota Matrix?

In order to access the water pump in the 2AZ-FE engine, unscrew the negative battery terminal, take off engine under covers, drain coolant, and radiator reserve tank. Take off the V-ribbed belt, generator assembly, and insulator of the engine. Clean out the water pump pulley and assembly with a special tool.
