The first step to remove the thermostat requires draining engine coolant. The Next step requires removal of the No. 2 radiator hose. First separate the water inlet from the cylinder block while unscrewing two nuts and breaking the connection. The removal process ends when the thermostat along with its gasket are completely removed.
