Begin by removing the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly and proceed with the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose. The third step involves removing the air cleaner case. Disconnect the ECM by releasing the wire harness clamp then push in the locks that secure the two connectors to raise both levers for unassembling the connectors. As a safety measure keep all connectors free of dust, moisture and other external pollutants when disconnecting them. To detach the ECM completely removes three bolts which secure it along with the four screws accompanying two ECM brackets.
