The fan and generator V belt procedure requires the belt tensioner to be turned counterclockwise until the service hole lines up with the belt tensioner fixing position before using a 5 mm (0.197 in.) diameter bar to secure the tensioner. Before uninstalling the V belt you should recognize that the pulley bolt for the belt tensioner possesses left-hand threading.
