How to install the rear spoiler and associated components on 2009 Toyota Highlander?

The installation of the rear spoiler begins with taking out the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) then putting it back in position using the centering jig for exact wiping angle maintenance. The rear spoiler sub-assembly must be installed before anyone opens the glass hatch or back door when installing the rear wiper link pivot. When installing a rear spoiler without a press line you should attach the center stop light assembly and rear washer nozzle by using the claws for attachment then secure the nozzle bracket through screwing. The installation steps for both the center stop light assembly and rear washer nozzle should match exactly when using a rear spoiler with a press line. The installer will need to access the vehicle by raising and lowering its glass hatch and back door while feeding the wire harness inside and performing a temporary installation of the rear spoiler sub-assembly through its 2 claws and eight screw fastening points. A "TORX" socket wrench (T30) should be used to completely tighten 6 screws (B) to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) and 2 screws (A) to 6.5 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 58 in-lbf). Secure the wire harness through a process which includes plugging connectors, grommet insertion, rear washer hose connection, housing 2 connectors, placing the grommet then securing the harness with 4 claws. First install the back door glass guide bracket sub-assembly (for Fixed Glass Type) and then install the rear wiper motor assembly and its grommet (for Fixed Glass Type and Glass Hatch Type) in succession. Next install the rear wiper link pivot with its cap (only for Glass Hatch Type), then add the rear wiper arm assembly attached to blades which supports both Glass Hatch Type and Fixed Glass Type equipment followed by the rear wiper arm head cap installation. The process concludes with the installation of the rear wiper shaft cover (for Glass Hatch Type) followed by back door trim panel assembly and assist strap assembly and assist strap hole cover and back door lock cover (for Glass Hatch Type) and back door trim cover LH (with and without Power Back Door) after which the power back door rod (with Power Back Door) is connected and the installer must put on back door service hole cover LH (with Power Back Door) and back door trim cover RH and back window upper trim panel assembly with an inspection of the rear washer nozzle.
