Service on the Canister Purge Valve will begin by removing the front wiper arm and blade assembly from the left position as the next step while working on the right side. The technician should first remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly followed by taking out the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. The service technician must remove the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly. Service of the No. 1 vacuum switching valve involves first disconnecting its connector followed by unclamping the wire harness then removing the two fuel vapor feed tubes followed by removing the valve from the air cleaner hose.
