The ECM should be detached first by removing all five connectors along with three nuts. The next step involves removing the No. 2 ECM bracket using two screws before proceeding with the removal of the No. 1 ECM bracket by also removing its two screws. The RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) must be executed immediately after automatic transmission assembly or engine assembly or ECM replacement then REGISTRATION (VIN registration) is required for all ECM replacements. You should enable the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) temperature warning lamp after replacement of the ECM or RESET MEMORY execution.
