2009 Toyota Corolla Oil Pressure Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to install the engine oil pressure switch assembly on 2009 Toyota Corolla?
A: Begin the installation of the 2ZR-FE engine oil pressure switch assembly by applying Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344 or Three Bond 1344 with equivalent properties to the last 2 or 3 threads of the switch. First mount an oil pressure switch by using a 24 mm deep socket wrench which should be torqued up to 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf). One must avoid starting the engine during the first hour after completing installation. Then restore the oil pressure switch connector before performing an oil leak inspection. Mount the right-hand front wheel as the final step.
