How to remove the throttle body on 2009 Toyota Avalon?

Draining engine coolant should be the initial step for removing the throttle body from a 2GR-FE engine control system. The cable attachment on the negative battery terminal should be your next action although system initialization might be needed when the cable is reconnected. Detach the V-bank cover sub-assembly and the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose. Unconnect the two hoses connected to the throttle w/ motor body assembly to separate the water by-pass hose. Proceed by disconnecting the throttle w/ motor body assembly connector then remove the four bolts holding the throttle w/ motor body assembly onto the intake air surge tank before extracting the throttle body gasket.
