2009 Scion tC Sway Bar Kit Parts Q&A
Q: How to remove the front Sway Bar Kit on 2009 Scion tC?
A: The first step to remove the front sway bar kit demands front wheel orientation in a direct forward position. Start by taking out the column hole cover silencer sheet and proceed to disconnect the No. 2 steering intermediate shaft assembly with the No. 1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly. Begin by taking off the front wheel before moving on to detach engine under covers that exist on both the left and right sides. The removal of left-side front sway bar link assembly requires two nut removals where you should use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to maintain the stud when ball joint activity occurs with the nut. The right-side procedure should be carried out identically. Students must disconnect sub-components of the tie rod ends from both the right and the left side of the vehicle and also remove the pressure feed tube assembly. Proceed to detach the front suspension No. 1 lower arm sub-assemblies on both sides by following precisely the same steps performed earlier on the right side to the left. Remove the front floor panel brace and the center exhaust pipe assembly and detach the hood sub-assembly with the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly. Secure the motor engine before proceeding with the removal of Hook Number 1. You must detach the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly before you disconnect the 2 bolts from the front No. 1 sway bar bracket LH. The same method should be utilized for removing the front No. 1 sway bar bracket RH. The last step involves removing both front No. 1 sway bar bushes before extracting the front sway bar kit.
