- Q: How to remove and replace the radiator on 2009 Scion tC?A: Before radiator installation or removal the first step requires battery terminal cable removal followed by waiting for a minimum period of 90 seconds to stop Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner operations. Proceed by draining engine coolant before taking off the engine under cover from the right-hand side of the engine. The radiator hose inlet and outlet require separation followed by disconnecting the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and outlet tube of the automatic transaxle. For radiator assembly removal start by disconnecting both cooling fan motor connectors followed by engine room main wire clamps and removing the radiator reservoir hose. Finish the process by unfastening the 2 bolts gateway to removing 2 radiator support uppers. The radiator support lower and fan shroud assembly should be taken out when you remove the 2 bolts while disconnecting the 2 pawl fittings on the fan assembly.
