Service and repair operations on the radiator begin with the radiator bracket sub-assembly removal that requires the removal of both 4 bolts and 2 brackets. Drain the radiator by removing the plug from the drain cock and the O-ring as well. Insert the claw of Special Service Tool 09230-01010 into part A of the overhaul handle before squeezing the handle while adjusting the stopper bolt to achieve a range of B varying from 0.2 to 0.3 mm (0.00787 to 0.0118 in.). Press the stopper bolt when applying Special Service Tool: 09230-01010 to uncaulk the lock plate until the handle reaches its maximum extension point. After using a plastic-faced hammer to tap gently at the bracket location of the radiator you should remove the tank before retrieving the O-ring.
