• Q: How to remove the timing chain on 2008 Toyota Tacoma?

  A: The first step to extract the timing chain from a 2TR-FE engine involves taking out the hood sub-assembly followed by discharging fuel system pressure along with removing the 4 bolts on each of the No. 1 and No. 2 engine under cover sub-assemblies. Remove the battery tray together with the battery before draining engine oil and coolant.
