2008 Toyota Sequoia Wiper Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the wiper switch on 2008 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The wiper switch removal sequence begins with disassembling the front door scuff plate LH then cowl side trim board LH before proceeding to instrument side panel LH and finally the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly LH. The wiper switch removal process begins by setting the ignition switch to ON then running the tilt and telescopic control to achieve maximum extension and lowering of the steering column followed by right and left wheel maneuvers to separate the 2 screws and disengage the 2 claws for removing the lower steering column cover. Users with Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column should perform the same tilt extension and steering column descent before they can remove the 2 screws and disengage the 2 claws. Moving forward you need to separate both the 4 clips and claw to remove the upper steering column cover. To remove the wiper switch extend a screwdriver with protected tape around the tip and uncouple the claw while disconnecting its connectors from the windshield wiper switch assembly.
