2008 Toyota Sequoia Brake Line Parts Q&A
Q: How to install the rear Brake Line on 2008 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The installation of the rear brake flexible hose requires screwing three bolts while tightening bolt A to 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf) and bolt B to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). Before installation of the flexible hose and new gasket to the disc brake cylinder through the union bolt users must apply 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf) of torque. Attack the flexible hose lock to the cylinder's lock hole with proper security. Attach one end of the flexible hose to the brake tube at its described attachment point followed by installation of a new clip. To connect the flexible hose tube through its union nut wrench, you must achieve 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) without the wrench or 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) when using the wrench while maintaining a union nut wrench facing parallel to the torque wrench. These torque values require either a 300 mm (11.8 in.) torque wrench or a 22 mm (0.866 in.) union nut wrench depending on these dimensions. Post-installation requires you to fill the brake fluid reservoir before performing bleeding procedures on the brake master cylinder followed by the brake line and VSC actuator assembly and checking brake fluid level in the reservoir. Brake inspection should be followed by checking for fluid leaks before reattaching the rear wheel.
