Flex Hose, Passenger Side

The installation process for the rear brake flexible hose begins by affixing it with three bolts where bolt A requires a torque of 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf) and bolt B needs 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). For brake cylinder attachment use the union bolt to join the flexible hose with its new gasket while applying 30 Nm of torque (306 kgf-cm) (22 ft-lbf). Also confirm the flexible hose lock fits properly into the cylinder lock hole. The flexible hose should be fastened to the brake tube at its designated connection point by using a new clip. A union nut wrench (10 mm) should be used to fasten the flexible hose tubes at 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) outside wrench operation and 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) within wrench operation after satisfying a 300 mm (11.8 in.) torque wrench fulcrum length requirement and maintaining parallel position of the union wrench and torques. Complete brake fluid addition to the reservoir followed by an air bleeding process from the brake master cylinder and VSC actuator assembly and brake line before checking fluid level and inspecting for fluid leaks and then installing the rear wheel.

Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and inspect for any brake fluid leaks.

Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.) and ensure that the union nut wrench is parallel to the torque wrench for accurate torque application.
