How to install the rear Brake Line on 2008 Toyota RAV4?

Begin the rear brake flexible hose installation by first cleaning the disc brake cylinder union while attaching the flexible hose with its new gasket along with the union bolt. Then tighten this fitting to 30.4 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf) specification. Insert the flexible hose lock properly into the cylinder lock hole. The flexible hose requires attachment to the connecting point where the brake tube (labeled A) meets with a new clip (labeled B). You must use Special Service Tool: 09023-00101 to connect the flexible hose to brake tube section A but keep the hose steady with a wrench that requires 15.2 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf torque without the tool or 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf torque with the tool which uses a 30 cm (11.81 in.) length torque wrench. When assembling the brake tube use caution to not fold or harm it at the connection spot and block foreign objects from entering the brake tube at this location. The installation procedure requires brake fluid addition to the reservoir followed by bleeding air from the brake master cylinder, brake line, ABS and traction actuator assembly before checking the reservoir fluid level and leak inspection while torquing the rear wheel to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).
