The procedures for replacing or removing trunk or liftgate shocks or supports start with the LH side positioning and can be used for both LH and RH sides of replacement or removal. The stripping process of the left-hand back door stay assembly should begin with a screwdriver to separate the stay clip from the stay up side while you secure the screwdriver tip with tape. Take out the stay clip on the lower section of the stay while you support the back door with your hand before removing the back door stay. The stay bracket combined with the two bolts needs removal to complete the process. The standard bolt chart features this bolt by excluding its torque criteria.
