The first step to remove the cigarette lighter assembly consists of taking off the shift lever knob sub-assembly for the Manual Transaxle. The removal process starts with separating the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly. The 2 fitting claws need to be liberated for removing the cigarette lighter cover. Execute the cigarette lighter assembly repair by initial removal of the cigarette lighter knob together with the element assembly component. Insert the circumference turn of the socket to free the claw from its position between the socket and the cigarette lighter bezel stay and finally push the socket towards the room side direction. Every repair ends by moving the cigarette lighter assembly from the room side while matching its socket to the notch on the cigarette lighter bezel stay.
