  A: Start by disconnecting terminal C lead wire to remove the repair service starter kit which includes removing the 2 screws fixing the kit to the motor terminal starter kit and taking out the kit with the return spring and plunger. Remove the starter yoke assembly from the starter commutator end frame assembly by disconnecting its 2 through-bolts then carefully pull it out and separate them. Next, detach the starter armature plate which connects to the starter yoke assembly and remove the cover of the starter commutator end frame using a screwdriver. You can remove the starter armature assembly through the use of snap ring pliers to detach the snap ring and plate washer before extracting the starter armature assembly from the starter commutator end frame assembly while keeping it from dropping. Complete the procedure by taking out the 3 planetary gears that belong to the motor terminal starter kit.
